I apologize for being MIA lately. The weather has been so beautiful that I have lived outside for the last week! As far as the website goes, I am trying to get my domain transferred and a lot of this technical mumbo jumbo is Greek to me! Hopefully today it will be up and running. Also, I am moving the blog to word press. My goal is for it to be seamless and that no one will even notice! Please give me feedback as to how it looks. It is going to continue to be a work in progress.

It was an interesting experience at Publix today. A cashier came up to me while I was in line at the checkout and asked if I had the $5 off coupon from the Eagle. I said no, can I use it with my WD coupon? She replied yes so I bought 3 papers! Make sure to get yours today! They are in a separate small insert in the paper. Coupon Schedule for February, Update! IMPORTANT!

My apologies everyone! The Sunday Coupon Preview that I use to see what inserts are coming where states that there where not supposed to be any inserts released this week. Well, there were, and I ordered them. So, since I have it set and told everyone to pay $9 for February I am going to have to either cut the last week of the month OR have everyone add $3 to March's payment. I am soooo sorry. Just as soon as I think I have it figured out I get another knot! If this is an issue for anyone, please email me and let me know.

My thoughts for here out, let me know what you all think:

For the months where it says there are NO inserts to be expected, I will not charge for those weeks. IF by chance there IS an insert or inserts that week they will only be ordered if requested that Sunday (the day they are released) and will have to be paid for ($3) when the coupons are delivered

My best shopping day ever!!!!

Today has been a great day! I started at Rite Aid and finished at Winn Dixie. Wow....here is how it went!

My Rite Aid take away. Total OOP (out of pocket) $20.67. I left with $3.50 in +Up Rewards and my $20 +Up Reward should print on my next visit!




My next stop was Winn Dixie. Total OOP $1.44. Yes! You read that correct, $1.44!!!!! in fact, I had to take back $3 in coupons because my subtotal was -$0.94, Wowsers!

Make sure you head over to CVS on Facebook and "like" them! Have you Extra Care card # ready. Even if you already "like" them, be sure to sign up for the promotion. American Express gift cards at Publix?

Does anyone know if Publix accepts American Express? It's my understanding that there is a $10 Publix coupon that you can use on buying a $50 American Express gift card. It costs $4.95 to activate it. So, you would profit $5.05. I'm thinking that you could buy the card, profit $5.05 and then use that card to buy your groceries. If you use a competitor's coupon for $5/$55 or similar you could easily save $10.05 off the top of your bill.

Any thoughts??

Inexpensive storage solutions! Way Basic!

Check out the storage items that are being offered from Way Basic on Totsy! I can't believe the prices! They are environmentally friendly, simple and best of all, no tools required!!

Housekeeping Struggles and The Fly Lady

Surely everyone out there, be you a mom or a dad, a full time mom or a full time mom and full time employee, struggle with organizing your home or simply maintaining it. I know I do! Every day is a battle for me. Whether it is dirty dishes, what to cook for dinner, preparing the kids for the school day, laundry (oh how I despise laundry in worst way), mopping, dusting, trash, CHAOS, the list could go on forever and ever. Recently I went to a coupon swap with the Dothan Moms Meet Up Group and had a conversation with another mom. Emily introduced me to The Fly Lady and I haven't been the same yet! I highly recommend everyone check this site out!!

I will admit, it sounds kinda weird at first and I can't vouch for the results over a long period of time, but I do know it has me looking at my home in a different light! She has a series of baby steps that walk you through 31 days of small habits that you will develop. The simplest being, get up, wash your face, brush your teeth, fix your hair and get dressed down to your shoes! What a difference it makes!

Our Great Shopping Trip Saturday!

For once we had a pleasant shopping experience this weekend! We started out our journey at Lowes. My 13 year old decided he would brave the trip with us so he could pick up some new flowers and plants. The cashier at Lowes was so sweet! She was very kind and extra nice. What a relief!

Next we ventured to CVS. We were greater when we walked in the door with, "well if it isn't my 2 favorite shoppers!" I'm not quite sure how to take that lol! Both my mom and I did pretty well for a last minute trip. I racked up some more $2/case Cokes as well as O'lay body wash and face cream. All in all I spent $30 and took home nearly $60 in merchandise. Plus, I walked out with $5 in ECBs for next week! Remember, at the CVS on Honeysuckle, you can buy from BOTH sales ads, this week and the upcoming week, on Saturdays! Does anyone know if the other CVS stores do this as well?

Our last stop was Publix, my favorite of course! We were hungry and it was so nice to be greeted at the deli with fresh, hot, samples of muffaleta andouille sausages. Mmmmm. It was nice to have the Kraft Homestyle Mac n Cheese back in stock. I was able to use 10 of the $1.00 off coupons I had for them as well as a few competitor's coupons making them free!When it came time to check out I went through a line where a sweet little guy was working. I hadn't seen him before so I thought I would break him in! He saw my stack of coupons and was excited! He said, I'm not scared of coupons, I love watching people save money! To which I responded, you are my new favorite cashier! Thankfully it wasn't very crowded at 530 pm and I didn't have a line of people behind me. When a guy came up behind me with his groceries as we were beginning my coupons I warned him, "this may be a while, I'm just letting you know since I was hollered at by the woman behind me last week." he seemed intrigued, ha ha. When I was done and he heard my totals he yelled out an explative and turned to the guy behind him and said, "she saved $99!" The cashier and I both laughed and the man said, "I can't even be mad at you with savings like that! That's amazing!" what a thrilling way to end the trip.
