Another Venture

A venture or an adventure? Maybe this is a little of both. I have recently become addicted to grocery shopping and finding terrific buys. This is going to be the beginning of a journey into the blogosphere for me. My intentions are to create a site where those that live locally here in Dothan and the surrounding areas can come to get shopping tips for our local stores and meal ideas to use those great bargain finds! Now, initially I will not be able to test every recipe but I am certainly going to do my best to try. Along with tips and meal ideas I will also post my shopping trips to show you that it can in fact be done. You CAN save money, ENJOY grocery shopping and be able to use your bargains effectively and deliciously in the kitchen.

So here goes. This is a list of the items I purchased on Tuesday, August 17th at the Winn Dixie at Westgate. I am still trying to figure out exactly how to list them properly so that they are easy to read. Please, bare with me while I adjust. 

It is my goal to help all of us local moms, wives and single shoppers to get the most out of our money, enjoy what we are doing, save time and feel empowered.

(6) Ronzoni smart taste elbows (on clearance) 0.75 each = 4.50 - 3.00 (6 x 0.55)=1.50/6=0.25 each!!

I did notice that the cashier didn’t write the correct amount in my coupons for the veggies. Rather than taking of the actual price he took off the full “up to” amount of $3.00. Not too bad!
